InfoPath 2013 form feature into 15 hive folder?

I have created sample InfoPath form 2013 and deployed in SharePoint 2013 farm. Form deployed to the farm successfully but I have observed that the InfoPath feature folder was created in 14 hive folder. 

My question here is, InfoPath 2013 form feature folder should create in 15 hive folder.

Please let me know if my assumption is wrong or any suggestions?




Triggering workflow on field change using 'Wait for field change in current item' task

I am working with list workflows using SPD2013 and SharePoint Online 2013...

I have a couple of workflows running off list items in a certain list, the first of which I want to trigger the second, but cannot get to happen!

Workflow A (triggered on item creation) looks up related data in separate lists and updates values in the list and sets a flag in a column to "Yes" upon completion

Workflow B (again triggered on item creation, but uses a 'Wait for field change in current item' action) waits for my flag column to be set to "Yes" before waking up and processing.

Both workflows start fine, with WF B sitting in its 'waiting' state, but even after WF A completing successfully and updating the flag column to "Yes", WF B does not wake up and continue processing.

Am I trying to use the 'Wait for field change in current item' task for something it is not meant to be doing?

If so, what is considered good practise for triggering a workflow once a preceding workflow has completed?

How to set a Workflow Task Duration in SharePoint Designer 2013?

I'm using SPD2013 to create an approval workflow. I start with a "Start Task Process" action. The problem is I don't have an explicit place to set Duration like I recall using in SP2010.

I can only set a due date of today or an explicit date. I assume that I need to use the lookups and somehow apply x number of days to created date or today, but can't figure out how/where to formulate that. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

can you bypass AD users in SharePoint 2007 Profile sync?

I have employees who are no longer working for the company, but for some reason they keep the accounts active in AD, but they dont want to see thier names in SharePoint. 

Is there a way to tell the profile sync not to sync these users?

I have a chart that has detail data.  When I right click the chart, it will show the detailed data.

Is there a way to put a print button in that new pop-up to print the chart?

I am new and would like a step by step on it.

2013 - Load script after Calendar view is done loading

I have a need to edit calendar items (remove the link so the user can't click on the item to change to the item's page), but it seems to load very late in the page load process, so I can't figure out how to get the jquery to run afteward. I made a new calendar view aspx file and added the following near the bottom:

what happens is the page loads, i see the frame of the calendar without the calendar items yet, I get Alert1, when i close the alert the page finished loading and then finally the calendar item shows up. far too late for the script to modify it. Any ideas?

Does upgrading the public facing website from Office 365 SharePoint online 2010 to 2013 affects the layout of existing website?

I am working on Office 365 SharePoint Online 2010.We have our public facing website hosted on the same platform.

Now, recently our SharePoint has been upgraded to 2013 , but our public facing website is still on 2010 version.

So, my question is after upgrading my public facing website to 2013 platform ,

1)Will the layout, site theme of my website will get change?

2) Will the existing pages remain or will get deleted?If yes, then how to retain it back?

In short , please tell me the steps to upgrade my public facing website to new version 2013 online.

Importing a Design Package corrupts the Page content type

I've created a Design Package that includes a masterpage, 5 page layouts (linked to content types that inherit from Page) and some images/css.

When I try to import that design package into another SharePoint 2013 server (same language, empty publishing site) the default 'Page' content types loses some columns. The Rollup Image, Meta Description, Meta Keywords, Hide Physical URls columns all disappear from the out of the box ‘Page’ Content Type.

Does anyone have a clue why this is happening?

Attach File button only shows blank page

Hello,

we have set up a Sharepoint 2013 server and are currently working on an internal ticket system. For this, we have added a List library to our Sharepoint Site. When adding new items to this library, the "Attach File" button does not work. Instead it only shows a blank webpage. Has anyone encountered a similar issue before? The advanced library settings allow attachments, so this is not the cause of this problem. The user account has Administrator rights, we have tried different browsers with different Security Settings. No luck so far...


Sharepoint 2013 workflow not firing when document checked in but works if checked out

We have a document library that has both Document sets and Documents. We also have a Workflow that is manually started by the user on any item in this library. The problem we are having is that the workflow doesn't start if the document is checked in and . If the document is checked out, it works fine. The workflow runs fine on a Document Set.

Looking into the log files, I see the following messages:

Skip lookup field SortBehavior as it's not dependent lookup, but it has PrimaryFieldId ID   46fff461-81e3-b73a-9fba-f4f1e8088cbe Skip lookup field CheckedOutUserId as it's not dependent lookup, but it has PrimaryFieldId ID 46fff461-81e3-b73a-9fba-f4f1e8088cbe

Skip lookup field SyncClientId as it's not dependent lookup, but it has PrimaryFieldId ID   46fff461-81e3-b73a-9fba-f4f1e8088cbe 

The target list of field Taxonomy Catch All Column, TaxCatchAll, does not exists in the current web or the current user does not have permissioin to see it. Skip it.   46fff461-81e3-b73a-9fba-f4f1e8088cbe

Immediately below these lines, I see the following message: The file "http://sharepointurl.com/abc/TestWf/select_element.pdf" is not checked out.  You must first check out this document before making changes......

The workflow is very simple and only logs a test message. I am not sure why SharePoint is trying to check-out the document but I have a feeling that it has something to do with the above messages.

Anyone has any idea why this is happening?

Background: Using SharePoint Online 2013 / SharePoint Designer 2013

I have two lists (A & B).

List A culminates by creating a new item in List B.

List B has a 'on item creation' workflow.

The WF associated with List B triggers fine when I create a new list item manually, but the workflow does not start when the list item is created by the List A workflow.

Having searched around it appears others have had this issue but there is little help in the way of reasons for it not working or even a workaround.

Can anyone shed any light on a solution to what seems to be a very simple need?

SharePoint 2013 - Display of recurrence date in DVWP

Hi,

Am New to SharePoint 2013 OOB web parts and Customization of DVWP.

Right now am facing some issues on retrieving Calendar events and to display it in Data View Web part.

Issue: I created a recurrence event in calendar, and while displaying it DVWP it displays the same date of created event to the rest of the recurrence events. I usedCalculated column of Start Time to display the date.

Start Date is the Calculated column I used to display as shown in the Below image.

Is there any workaround to over come this issue.

Redrirecting Suite Bar Sky Drive

Hi Everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help point me in the right direction.

I have an in house SharePoint 2013 setup which is accessible to both Staff and Students. In September all of our students are going to be given a Sky Drive via Office 365. My question is "Does anyone know if you can redirect the Sky Drive link that appears in the Suite Bar to point to a different Sky Drive or is there a field (that I'm missing) in the User Profile that lets me state where their Sky Drive is stored.

Any help offered would be much appreciated.

Can't open Sharepoint Online site in Sharepoint Designer 2013

Hello!

I am trying to open a Sharepoint Online secure site in Sharepoint Designer 2013 (v15). When I try to open the site in Sharepoint Designer i get an error stating: 

"Server error: The version of Microsoft SharePoint Foundation running on the server is more recent than the version of SharePoint Designer that you are using. You need a more recent version of SharePoint Designer."

I used to have the preview version installed, but I uninstalled it and got the latest version I could find (version 15?). I checked the SharePoint version on the server (/_vti_pvt/service.cnf) and it says: 

vti_encoding:SR|utf8-nl vti_extenderversion:SR|16.0.0.1706

The public site I have has the same version and it opens just fine in SharePoint Designer 2013. Are there any new versions of SharePoint Designer 2013 available that I have missed? My SharePoint Designer is up to date via Windows Update.

I am running the designer on Windows 7 Ultimate x86.

Sharepoint Designer 2013 keeps crashing!

Hi

I recently installed SPD2013 and have used it a handful of times so far. Since yesterday, however, it has been plagued with instability and would frequently crash with the message 'Sharepoint Designer has stopped working'. This was happening consistently whenever I tried to Open a Site. After trying a repair and an uninstallation/reinstallation but to no avail I found this article - http://sympmarc.com/2013/04/16/sharepoint-designer-2013-crashing-on-open-site-the-fix/ - which suggested a conflict when one already had a previous version installed. I tried removing the GUIDs and it indeed seemed to help - I could now open a site. However, once again, SPD has been crashing this morning, albeit at different points of operation.

The errors I see in the event viewer are as follows

Unable to Display WebPart for a list of links pointing to a PDF

Hi,

I made a list of links on a public sharepoint site, that all point to the same test.pdf file, which is located on the same sharepoint site. For some reason, when in the public version of the site, it displays:

Unable to display this Web Part. To troubleshoot the problem, open this Web page in a Microsoft SharePoint Foundation-compatible HTML editor such as Microsoft SharePoint Designer. If the problem persists, contact your Web server administrator.

When I'm logged into the public site, it shows up fine. Please help me resolve this problem.
